Falling in Love

Roger Lynn is an experiential mystic – lover of life – photographer – flute player – poet – hiker – hot spring soaker – expresser of gratitude – blessed beyond the capacity of words to express. He currently lives in Spokane, WA.

I’d love to hear from you!

Most mornings find me sitting in the hot tub looking at the stars just as the not-yet-risen sun is beginning to color the eastern horizon. Today a haiku showed up, and left me smiling (as such things often do). But then this particular haiku revealed itself to be something of a chameleon, capable of shifting form to reveal a deeper message. I really love it when that happens. It feels like I am falling in love with my life, or perhaps falling in love with myself.

every morning
I sit quietly and watch

as the world wakes up

every morning
I sit quietly and watch

as my soul wakes up
