“Everyone discusses my art and pretends to understand, as if it were necessary to understand, when it is simply necessary to love.”
– Claude Monet
I really like this quote. I do not pretend to be Claude Monet, because I am not. But I am me, and I have my own art. For me it is never about “understanding.” My photography is about sharing beauty. I hope to inspire awe and wonder. Those are experiential, and come from the heart, not the head. You can appreciate what I offer, or not. You can be moved by it, or not. Just don’t try to understand it. What I strive for is to offer something that will get you out of your head and into your heart. If that happens, even just a little bit, even if only for a moment, then I will have been successful. I simply invite you to feel something.
