I try to make a contribution in this world of ours by noticing bits and pieces of beauty, awe, and wonder – and then finding ways to share it with others, in the hopes of spreading it about. Mostly I do that with photos and poetry, but occasionally some other ways present themselves as well. I’ve come to believe that it makes a difference. It certainly makes a difference to me. But what I’ve also come to believe is that what really makes a difference is when I share myself – when I show up and offer glimpses of the real me. What I notice, and what I share, and what I do matters. But what really matters is who I am. Just like what really matters is who you are. When we take the risk to open up and let folks see us (really, truly see us) we let a bit more light into the world and into the lives of those around us. And that, I believe, is what we are all here to do, each in our own wonderfully unique ways. Let your light shine, folks. Offer us glimpses of your beautiful self. It makes a difference. It transforms the world.
