Getting Out of My Head

I’d love to hear from you!
When I’m stuck in my head life gets pretty miserable pretty fast. Why is it that I never get stuck in my head with happy, pleasant thoughts swirling around in my brain. It’s always dark, hopeless, “I’m not worthy” thoughts! The solution, when I can manage to remember, is to get outside and move. When I’m out hiking, surrounded by the birds singing, the wind across my face, and the earth beneath my feet, I know I’m alive and a part of something so much bigger than the morass of swirling sludge in my brain. But since I can’t be hiking all the time, I also need to learn how to carry that reality with me in all of the other moments of my life. I’m working on it.
