I spent the morning
walking this ancient landscape
with nowhere to be but here
and nothing to do but this
feeling alive and at peace
perhaps someday I’ll remember
that simply being
is enough

Your Valverde neighbor
Hi Roger – your poem so terse and true reminds be of Adyashanti’s words to mea few years ago: in response to my complaining of too much mental busyness: “Why don’t you just be?” Maybe see you and Susan this time around? Lewie. yesterday’s haiku: soon the light returns / a babe shjfts in His manger / waking to awaken us.
